I have created a timeline diagram to show the structure of a title sequence. Knowing the structure of a title sequence will help me to better understand the timings of the different elements of a title sequence.

This task has helped me to better understand the structure of title sequences in general, particularly the order and frequency of titles themselves. This title sequence, like many others, has a clear structure to order and frequency of titles – quite often title sequences begin with actors; the big names that draw in the audience. As a general rule, the further into the title sequence, the more likely the frequency of titles is to increase. This is a matter of pacing and often done to fit in as many of the more minor roles as possible in the opening titles, the full extent of which are revealed in the ending credits.
