After conducting my research and my case studies into title sequences I have begun to think about an idea for the title sequence I am going to produce. In terms of genre, I would like to produce a sequence in the horror/thriller genre, creating an atmospheric piece which follows some genre conventions, mainly via Mis En Scene.

For this idea I have considered two locations;
1) The Astor Theatre in Deal – This incredibly old theatre has a wide variety of rooms both old and new – I will be able to use this location or parts of it within my sequence (I completed my work experience here and thus will likely be able to gain permission to film here)

2) Birchington Cemetery – This cemetery is also incredibly old, featuring a wide array of gothic headstones that could potentially work well as part of a horror Mis En Scene. In order to film here, I would require permission from a groundskeeper.

In terms of narrative, I am currently thinking of a way to link these two locations; either through an event, prop or piece of imagery. I have two people who are potentially willing to act in my title sequence, though I have decided to not include dialogue to avoid exposition.

I now have some steps to complete in order to progress with my title sequence;

1) Obtain location shots of both locations and decide what sort of shot types and distances I might use.
2) Obtain permissions to film in these locations and schedule times to film.
3) Think of a narrative I can quickly but subtley convey in the sequence that will link these two locations.
