This is an example of one of the titles I created for my sequence in the title making software Motion. This software allowed me to create a variety of titles with a ‘ghosting’ effect like the one seen in this image.

Picture 4

This is an example of one of the titles I created in the editing software Final Cut Pro using the text feature. Using transitions, I have faded in and faded out these titles appropriately to the punctuation of my soundtrack.

WhatEven

As you can see, the titles on the top editing track all have a fade in and fade out effect applied to them. This is to have the titles fade in according to specific punctuation of the soundtrack in the bottom editing track (instruments starting or stopping, the resuming after a pause, sudden entrance of new instruments, etc.)

Picture 3

This is my timeline in final cut pro. The top track contains my titles, the middle tracks contain my video sequence and the bottom tracks contain my audio soundtrack.

This is the timeline of the edit with preview and canvas pane. The canvas pane is showing a shot with a title removed so I could add in the greyscale effect.
