I searched the internet for a number of copyright-free music sites in order to find a piece of music that could be edited to my Title Sequence. I decided I required a traditional piece of orchestral music, something that would fit the gothic-horror feel and be the exact tempo to match the pacing of the sequence effectively.

There were a number of orchestral pieces I found on sites such as SoundCloud and FreePlayMusic that would have otherwise been acceptable but were too fast in tempo, or too long in total running time. The Title Sequence can be no more than 2 minutes, so I had to consider this when choosing a soundtrack to avoid cutting down the audio of an unnecessarily long track.

I eventually came across an archive of royalty-free music on Incompetech.com, a site created by Kevin MacLeod who creates original, royalty-free music in a number of genres and styles. I found two pieces that match the style I was looking for.
one titled ‘Relent’; a slow, orchestral, string piece which slowly builds and another titled ‘The Endless’ which is similar to ‘Relent’ but with more instruments and lots of pauses, which could be useful for building tension.
